SUMMARY:Mother's Day Beeswax Candle Dipping Class
DESCRIPTION:We are so excited to have co-owners Ethan and Olivia of Honeypot Bees Wax Candles (@honeypotbeeswax)\, lead a Mother’s Day Candle Dipping Class at BCC in our Community Room!  As part of this workshop\, participants will get to learn the art and craft of hand-dipped candlemaking and make a 100% beeswax candle to take home!\n\n\nPlease do not feel that you must identify as a mother or child to attend this workshop.  All are welcome\, no matter who you are or how you define yourself\, family\, or friends.  Let’s celebrate loving one another and being a part of each other’s lives during this fun and fabulous workshop.  Come as you are.  Leave with a little more community\, beauty\, and light.\n\n\n\n\nSunday\, May 10\n12:00 pm – 2:00 pm\nCost: $30 per student. \nPlease wear work appropriate clothing as we will be working with messy and fun materials.\n\n*Students must be 10 years or older to attend. All minors must be accompanied by an adult*\n\n\n\n\nCo-owners of Honeypot Bees Wax Candles​ (La Farge\, WI)\, Ethan & Olivia have been crafting hand-dipped\, poured\, or shaped candles using 100% pure beeswax from local beekeepers ​in andaround Minneapolis\, Rochester\, La Crosse\, and Viroqua for the last 25 years.  This class fee covers the cost of workshop materials and instruction. SUMMARY:Making Fresh Cheese Two Ways
DESCRIPTION:Join us in making two of the fastest fresh cheese options in one class!  For one option\, we will learn how to make Farmer’s Cheese. This cheese has a fresh\, soft curd and a wide variety of finishing options\, and can be served sweet or savory. As part of the class\, each attendee will get to take home a container of this cheese to enjoy.  The other cheese option we will make during our time together is an all-natural\, Velveeta-like variety.  Learn how to create a homemade and healthier version of a childhood favorite that you can feel good about sharing with your friends and family. This cheese will be served fresh and warm in class with tortilla chips.\n\nThursday\, June 18\, 2026 \n6:00 pm – 7:30 pm \nCost: $25 cash per student. \nSarah Miles is a niche farmer in Winona County\, working to make traditional farming knowledge and goods relevant and accessible in a changing world.
